Special Accommodations For a Special Evening
Vancouver is home to some gorgeous and romantic hotels, paired with the backdrop of the city, you've got yourself the perfect place for an extended session or overnight date with your favorite angel. If you seek a longer arrangement with your angel or want to treat yourself and her to a special nigh, you'll need the perfect accomodation.
For the top choice Angels chooses:
Fairmont Vancouver Airport
This Fairmont outpost attached to Vancouver International Airport is a dream for jet watchers (and anyone needing luxurious digs between flights). The hotel towers above the airport’s U.S. check-in area, and rooms on the north side have terrific views of the main arrivals runway with the Shore Mountains as a backdrop. The 392 rooms themselves are also easy on the eyes, with clean-lined wood furniture and upholstery in tones of gold and burnt orange. All have triple-paned, inert-glass windows for maximum soundproofing. The on-site gym and pool area overlook the airport’s check-in counters, a bit surreal in your Speedo. Deluxe rooms (and up) come with telescopes (called spotting scopes) for plane watching and mountain gazing, Angels love this! The location serves perfect for the busy business man treating himself before taking off.
Other Vancouver Hotels we recommend for a special evening:
Wedgewood Hotel
The Wedgewood is only 25 years old, yet its decor and decorum evoke the opulence of an earlier era. The Wedgewood consistently earns kudos from Trip Advisor and top travel magazines. From the top-hatted doorman who greets arrivals, to the bathtubs-for-two and in-room fireplaces, to the penthouse balconies that boast panoramic city views, the Wedgewood is an ideal place to start explore romance. Spend some detox time in the hotel’s eucalyptus steam room—complimentary for hotel guests. The hotel is is a central downtown location close to some of the best shopping and dining in Vancouver.
Fairmont Pacific Rim
Built in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel towers a lofty 48 floors above the Burrard Inlet waterfront, with panoramic views of the North Shore Mountains, Stanley Park, and Coal Harbour. The hotel, which occupies the first 22 floors, is connected to the Vancouver Convention Centre, making it a convenient place to stay during large events or business meetings. The 340 standard guest rooms and 37 suites welcome patrons with Mascioni linens and bedside touch screens to control lighting, temperature, curtains, and entertainment. The sixth-floor pool is a great spot to relax before or after a meal at Giovane, an Italian-inspired café and wine bar.
Rosewood Hotel Georgia
Georgian Revival. Toronto-based interior design firm Munge Leung blended a modern, sophisticated look with the historical style of the 156-room hotel. They preserved Art Deco details including Italian marble flooring, the fireplace and elevators with original brass dials. The Rosewood currently has the largest private collection of Canadian art in Canada, curated by Vancouver-based Farmboy Fine Arts. Guestrooms, in a palette of ivory, chocolate and powder-blue, have sleek Deco-inspired furnishings, such as pearlized leather loungers and quilted headboards. Well-styled accessories include a vintage-look brass clock, mercury glass bottles and a chevron throw. Spa-style marble and dark wood bathrooms feature a deep soaking tub (perfect for two!), a luxury shower and bamboo-and-lemongrass-scented Ohne bath amenities. Thoughtful extras include Nespresso machines and fully stocked bars.
There you have it! Difficulty is finding a hotel that doesn't make Vancouver look amazing because we are so blessed to live in this wonderful city!
